About the ICTSA Programming Competition

The ICTSA Programming Competition is an annual event organised by the Information & Communications Technology Students Association at the University of Malta. In it, students, as well as ICT professionals, may form a team of up to 4 members and compete in an attempt to solve a challenging problem set by one of the University's senior lecturers. The competition will be held over the weekend between the 2nd and 4th March 2012 with the awards ceremony taking place on the 9th of March 2012.

Student teams which place 1st and 2nd win €250 and €150 respectively to share amongst the team. Industry teams compete seperately from the student teams for a chance to win a trophy marking the occasion as well as bragging rights, useful for impressing their colleagues.

Student Teams

If you're a student at any of Malta & Gozo's 6th forms, post-secondary schools, colleges or University, you can apply to take part! Registration costs €20 per team and you can pay either by contacting an executive member of the ICTSA or through Internet Banking. Remember that, as a student team, you can get up to €250 if you win or €150 if you get 2nd place, to share. We encourage you to form a team of up to 4 members as the competition is even more fun when you're with friends! Simply click on the Registration button at the top of this page to apply.

Industry Teams

If you're a professional working in the ICT industry, you can compete in the Industry competition. The registration fee is €20 per team and the winning team gets a commemorative trophy for the office as well as a trophy for each team member to take.
